SECURITY FIRST

Locked down, on your terms

Your vault database is encrypted with a key generated on your device and held in the hardware-backed keystore. The file cannot be read by another app or by anyone reading storage directly. On top of that encryption, iRemember layers multiple locks and guards:

    The system picker isolates only the specific file or photo you select. Nothing else is visible.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Three features reach the internet, and none of them send your vault data:

Google Firebase Authentication

Used exclusively if you choose to sign in with your Google account, to confirm your identity.

Open-Meteo

Powers the Home screen weather panel. Approximate coordinates accompany the forecast request; decline location and a default city is used instead.

Google News RSS

Serves local news headlines based on your device's region without collecting personal profile data.

Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

Delivers non-intrusive banner ads for free users using anonymous device identifiers (Android Advertising ID). Pro subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently asked

Is my vault data stored in the cloud?+

No. Everything you save (items, notes, cards, credentials, contacts, Wi-Fi entries, documents, photos, reminders, and history) is stored locally in an encrypted on-device database using SQLCipher and hardware keystore encryption. iRemember never uploads your vault to any remote server.

What happens if I uninstall the app?+

Uninstalling permanently deletes all local app data, including saved items, photos, documents, reminders, and history. Because nothing is synced to servers, it cannot be recovered from iRemember afterwards. Export a password-protected backup first if you wish to retain a copy.

How does the Security Checkup feature work?+

The built-in Security Checkup scans your vault locally on your phone. It flags weak or reused passwords, alerts you to expired bank cards, and notifies you when saved IDs or warranties are approaching expiration. All done entirely offline.

How do I delete my account and data?+

Open Profile → Settings → Danger zone → Delete Account, and confirm by typing DELETE. This immediately erases every record, file, profile, lock, and reminder on the device. If you signed in with Google, the app also requests Google to delete the sign-in record.

Does iRemember see my fingerprint?+

No. Your fingerprint template remains securely inside your device's hardware enclave. The app only receives a verified true/false signal from Android.

Are there advertisements in the app?+

iRemember displays non-intrusive banner advertisements powered by Google AdMob to support continuous development. AdMob uses anonymous device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) for ad delivery and fraud prevention. Pro subscribers enjoy a 100% ad-free experience.
